Scott moved to Wooster and entered the insurance business in 1985, has been a Whitaker-Myers principal since 1990, and holds the Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) professional designation from the Insurance Institute of America. He is passionate about helping clients manage and control risk; devising valuable, appropriate programs to help them achieve financial goals, business objectives and peace of mind.

Scott is a native of Worthington, OH, and graduated with a B.A. in Communication from The Ohio State University. His broad social and civic involvement includes Wooster Rotary, The Boy Scouts of America (past Council President), The Village Network and support of Wooster City Schools and its athletic department, and Oaks Church. He is a past director of The Wooster Country Club (President), United Way of Wayne-Holmes Counties, Wooster Area Chamber of Commerce (Chairman) and The Ohio State University Alumni Club of Wayne County (President). He currently serves as a director and Vice Chair of The Village Network, Inc, and is serving in his second decade as Chair of Wooster City Schools’ Business Advisory Council. Scott is also the public address announcer for Wooster Generals sports, and he is a Deacon at Oaks Church, Wooster.

Scott enjoys using his free time studying/strengthening his faith & that of others, being involved with community projects, playing golf, doing public address announcing & other voice work, supporting/following Ohio State Buckeye sports, playing music (bass guitar), and spending time entertaining, traveling and hanging out with his wife, Amy and their kids/spouses (Ben/Liz, Betsy/Seth and Nick/Beth Ann), grandchildren and friends.
